Acceptable Use & Anti-Scraping Policy

1. Prohibited automated access
Without express authorization, the following are prohibited:
- Bots, spiders, crawlers, and scripts accessing the site.
- Browser automation and automated agents.
- Scraping software and harvesting systems.
- Bulk-query and automated bulk-extraction systems.
- Sequential SNP or rsID enumeration.
- Reverse engineering of the Services.
- Database reconstruction.
- Circumvention of rate limits or technical protections.
- Authentication bypass.
- IP rotation to bypass restrictions.
- Account rotation to bypass restrictions.
- Credential or API key sharing.
2. Search-engine indexing
Ordinary search-engine indexing is permitted only where GeneticCoding has not technically prohibited it. We may change technical allowlists or blocklists at any time.
3. Protective measures
To protect the Services, GeneticCoding may use measures including:
- Rate limiting.
- Account controls.
- API quotas.
- Access logs.
- Anomaly detection.
- Automated blocking.
- Temporary restrictions.
- Permanent suspension.
- Technical countermeasures.
4. How we describe enforcement
This page intentionally does not describe our internal detection methods in enough detail to make them easier to circumvent. If you believe your legitimate access has been blocked in error, contact support@geneticcoding.com.
5. Authorized automated access
If you need automated or bulk access for a legitimate purpose, request authorization through our API & Commercial Data Licensing page or at /contact?subject=data-licensing.
